Le Sserafim

The beauty of K-pop lies not only in the melody sung but the overall package of vocals, dance, and visuals delivered by the artists. As an idol group, the members of Le Sserafim have exhibited every single quality, securing their spot at the top as fourth-generation K-pop idols. Although originally introduced as six but now five, Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae make up the K-pop girl group established by Source Music, a subsidiary of Hybe Labels.

The name Le Sserafim is an anagram of “I’m fearless.” This would later inspire the title of their debut EP, FEARLESS. Each member of the group shares a different backstory; two members, Chaewon and  Sakura, were a part of the former group, IZ*ONE. One member, Yunjin, was a participant in the talent competition show Produce 48. Kazuha was training to become a professional ballet dancer, and Euchae was a dance student. The girls either auditioned or were scouted.

Discography of Le Sserafim

In 2022, Le Sserafim took the world by storm with the release of their debut single, FEARLESS. The opening choreography performed by the group captivated the hearts of K-pop fans from all over. The single was a part of their first EP with the same title. Other tracks on the project include; Blue Flame and The Great Mermaid.

Keeping to the expected annual release schedule of K-pop groups, Since debut, Le Sserafim has released more than one project every year. In the same year of their debut, they released their sophomore EP, Antifragile. They followed with their first studio album, Unforgiven the next year in May. The album featured a title track with the same name and other songs like Eve, Psyche and The Bluebeard’s Wife and Impurities.

The K-pop industry extends beyond Korea, so it is no surprise to see K-pop groups break out and promote their music in countries like Japan and the music capital of the world (USA). Le Sserafim is no different. In 2023, a year after their debut, the group made their Japanese debut. They released a Japanese original song, Choices, along with the Japanese versions of their songs, Fearless and Blue Flame. Later that year, in October, they released their first English song, Perfect Night.

The most recent addition to Le Sserafim’s discography is their third EP, Easy. The five-track album was released on February 19, 2024. It is led by the Afrobeats-inspired single, Smart. A couple of days after its release, the English versions of the single along with another track, Easy, were released.

Le Sserafim on Tour

As their second anniversary approaches, fans can trust that Le Sserafim is here to stay. The group has accomplished so many feats in a short time. The tour was set to take place in several countries across Asia. it opened on the 12th of August, 2023, with a concert at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. The tour had a total of 12 shows and ended in Bangkok, Thailand, on the 8th of October, 2023.

Le Sserafim’s first tour was a complete success, with over 85,000 attendees across all shows.
