For the 66th time, the Grammy Awards took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. This year, the comedian and actor Trevor Noah presented the live show with humor and charm – he is the host for the fourth time in a row. Everyone loves his tasteful jokes, so the South African comedian was the perfect choice to guarantee an unforgettable awarding show.

The eligibility period for the nominees is from October 1, 2022, to September 15, 2023. This year, there was an explicit announcement concerning the use of AI. The Recording Academy explained that “only human creators are eligible to be submitted for consideration for, nominated for, or won a Grammy Award.”

Billie Eilish’s achievements were a testament to the academy’s decision, proving that AI can’t compete against the emotional depth from human experiences. The groundbreaking singer’s song "What Was I Made For?", co-written with her brother Finneas O-Connell for the "Barbie" soundtrack, earned six nominations and even won the coveted Best Song Written for Visual Media.

Barbie was certainly proud of the two winners because she didn't miss the live show and red carpet either:

Grammy Performances

Although not a full list, here are some notable performances!

Performer

Song & Comment

Dua Lipa

“Houdini” with a preview of her upcoming song “Training Season”

She really brought the hot girl aesthetic to the show

Billie Eilish

“What Was I Made For?” with Finneas

It’s a performance that will break hearts even if one doesn’t have one

Miley Cyrus

“Flowers”

It was such a high power performance filled with cheeky adlibs like “I just won my first GRAMMY!!”

Olivia Rodrigo

“Vampire”

Performed with blood and a fun shot of Taylor Swift jamming to it

SZA

“Snooze” and “Kill Bill”

”Kill Bill” really brought Quentin Tarantino with all the wicked choreography. Not sure if she really “killed her ex,” but this year sure has a lot of blood on the stage

Travis Scott

“My Eyes”, “I Know?”, and “FE!N”

With a lot of rage towards the Award show sleeping on him for 10 times, which understandable. I was also be mad if I was nominated 10 times with no award in hand.

Sadly we did not get to see Ryan Gosling perform “I’m just Ken.” However, in his absence, Lainey Wilson did perform the infamous song at Clive Davis' pre Grammys party at Beverly Hilton.

Grammy Exclusives & Must-Know Facts 2024

Why Were All the Swifties Elated?

Taylor Swift announced a new album on the show. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department and its release date is April 19, 2024.

Who Has The Most Grammys?

The Grammy queen of all time is record holder Beyoncé: She won a total of 32 trophies.

Discover The Inner Child in You: Best Children’s Music Album 2024

Most people don't take note of the Best Children's Music Album. But this year the nomination of Andrew & Polly with their album Ahhhhh! caught some attention. The album is full of love and great catchy tunes with such an attention-grabbing title! Although the award went to We Grow Together Preschool Songs by 123 Andrés, the album certainly was a memorable nomination.

Meryl Streep Crushes The Grammys 2024

Her perfectly timed, fashionably late appearance really hyped the audience!
