Ohio State Buckeyes Basketball

The Ohio State Buckeyes basketball team has always been among the stronger teams in college basketball, with 27 qualifications for the NCAA March Madness postseason tournament throughout their history. The Buckeyes have appeared in the NCAA championship final on 6 occasions, including in 1960 when they defeated the Cal Bears 75-55 to bring a first ever NCAA basketball title home to Ohio. After some excellent tournament runs in the early 2000s, recent years have seen the Buckeyes struggle at times to get past the first two rounds of March Madness. 2022-23 was an even bigger disappointment for the team, as they missed out entirely with a losing record of 16-19. Buckeyes fans will be expecting much more in 2024.
