Vegas Golden Knights

Forgive the obvious joke, please, but starting an NHL hockey team in the middle of the Nevada desert in a city known for big bets, big shows, and bigger parties seemed like a bit of a…gamble. Sure, the odd tourist in town for a few nights might enjoy stopping off at a hockey game out of curiosity, but could Las Vegas really provide a devoted fanbase to fill the dazzling new T-Mobile Arena throughout the season? Coupled with the fact that most NHL expansion teams have tended to struggle for many years before any semblance of success, calling the new Vegas Golden Knights franchise a shot in the dark seemed generous. However, a combination of kinder conditions for expansion teams than had existed in the past and wise expansion draft choices by the Knights themselves produced results that no one could have anticipated. Right from their opening game, a 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars, and their home debut, a 5-2 defeat of the Arizona Coyotes, the Knights got off to a flying start that continued long into the season and led to the team setting a record for the best debut record by an expansion team at 51-24-7. This led the Knights into a first foray into the playoffs in their very first season, a rarity for expansion teams only seen twice before, and the team showed up keen on more than just a pat on the back for participation. Putting the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, and Winnipeg Jets to the sword in quick succession, the unlikely team from Las Vegas found itself suddenly in the Stanley Cup Finals against Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. This proved a step too far for the new team and they lost in five games, but the Knights had laid down a marker and gained many fans in Las Vegas and elsewhere for their exciting brand of hockey. The team was back at it in 2020, losing in the Western Conference Finals to the Stars, and in 2021, when they were knocked out by the Montreal Canadiens just one step from another Finals appearance. Faint alarm bells may have sounded in 2022 when the Knights missed the playoffs for the first time in their history, but these were laid aside in 2023 when the team beat the Jets, Edmonton Oilers, and Stars en route to a five-game demolition of the Florida Panthers in the Finals. It had to be seen to be believed: the Vegas Golden Knights, in just their sixth season of existence, were on top of the hockey world as Stanley Cup champions. The team will head into their future now with raised expectations (imagine how Vancouver Canucks and Buffalo Sabres fans must feel when they look at the Knights’ quick success), with their fans eager for more razzle-dazzle at the T-Mobile Arena where the Knights play, just a short walk from the bright lights of the famous Las Vegas Strip.

How can I get cheap tickets to Vegas Golden Knights games?

In a city known for a good time, not a long time, the Vegas Golden Knights look set to buck the trend, drawing in massive crowds through their first few years to silence the naysayers. While such big crowds make for a great game day atmosphere, they can render tickets tricky to find, particularly for key regular season deciders, postseason playoff games, or rivalry matchups (see below). To get a hold of the cheapest tickets to Vegas Golden Knights football games, search the TicketX listings and game schedule on this page and use our handy TicketX seating chart to compare prices and locations. You can purchase tickets with the lowest commission fees from TicketX with just one click!

Vegas Golden Knights hockey rivalries

The Vegas Golden Knights might be new to the NHL, but their quick rise to the top of the hockey world has earned them some instant rivals, particularly with those teams located in the West of the continent such as the San Jose Sharks, Los Angeles Kings, and Anaheim Ducks. The Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild, both improving teams, should also challenge the Golden Knights in the years to come.

Are Vegas Golden Knights hockey games exciting?

With such a competitive team coming off their 2023 Stanley Cup triumph, going to the sparkling new T-Mobile Arena to see the Vegas Golden Knights is one of the hottest tickets in town these days. Plus, if we’re honest, there’s something kind of awesome about going to a hockey game in the middle of a desert (surrounded by ostentatious casinos and hotels). Get your Vegas Golden Knights tickets from TicketX today and come watch the NHL’s most exciting new team!
