Wells Fargo Arena is a multi-purpose arena in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, United States, which is a part of the Iowa Events Center. Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, has hosted a diverse range of events since its inception. It began with Tony Hawk's Boom-Boom Huck Jam on July 1, followed by its first concert featuring Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers with The Black Crowes on July 18. The arena serves as home to various sports teams, including the Iowa Wolves (formerly Iowa Energy) of the NBA G League, Iowa Barnstormers of the Indoor Football League, and Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. Notably, it hosted the inaugural game of the reincarnation of the Arena Football League in 2010 and has been a venue for NCAA tournaments, high school wrestling and basketball tournaments, and the Big Four Classic since 2006 and 2012, respectively. It also hosted the 2011 NBA D-League Finals and NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments in 2016, 2019, and 2023. Additionally, it accommodated the Des Moines Buccaneers temporarily in 2020 due to damage to their home arena, before they returned in January 2021.
